Hands

A basketball in my hands is worth about $19.
A basketball in Michael Jordan's hands is worth about $33 million.
A baseball in my hands is worth about $6.
A baseball in Mark McGuire's hands is worth $ 19 million.

It depends whose hands it's in.

A tennis racket is useless in my hands.
A tennis racket in Serena Williams' hands is a Wimbledon Championship.
A rod in my hands will keep away a wild animal.
A rod in Moses' hands will part the mighty sea.

A sling shot in my hands is a kid's toy.
A sling shot in David's hand is a mighty weapon.

Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in my hands is a couple of fish sandwiches.
Two fish and 5 loaves of bread in God's hands will feed thousands.

Nails in my hands might produce a birdhouse.
Nails in Jesus Christ's hands will produce salvation for the entire world.

It ALWAYS depends whose hands it's in.

So put your concerns, your worries, your fears, your hopes, your dreams, your families and your relationships in God's hands because ...... in those hands everything will turn out right for you and your loved ones.

Footprints

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand; one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The Lord replied, "My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."

Androcles and the Lion

A slave named Androcles escaped from his master, and fled to the forest. As he was wandering about he came upon a Lion lying down moaning and groaning. At first he turned to flee, but finding that the Lion did not pursue him, he turned back and went up to him.

As he came near, the Lion put out his paw, which was all swollen and bleeding, and Androcles found that a huge thorn had got into it, and was causing all the pain. He pulled out the thorn and bound up the paw of the Lion, who was soon able to rise and lick the hand of Androcles like a dog. Then the Lion took Androcles to his cave, and every day used to bring him meat from which to live.

But shortly afterwards both Androcles and the Lion were captured, and the slave was sentenced to be thrown to the Lion, after the latter had been kept without food for several days. The Emperor and all his Court came to see the spectacle, and Androcles was led out into the middle of the arena. Soon the Lion was let loose from his den, and rushed bounding and roaring towards his victim.

But as soon as he came near to Androcles he recognised his friend, and fawned upon him, and licked his hands like a friendly dog. The Emperor, surprised at this, summoned Androcles to him, who told him the whole story. Whereupon the slave was pardoned and freed, and the Lion let loose to his native forest.

You never know when you do a good deed what may come of it.

The FULL Jar
Just for fun...fill a glass jar with all the rocks you can put in it. Have you finished? Is it full? Nothing more can be added to it, right?

Okay...now find some tiny little pebbles...see if you can sift them into the glass...Hey..it wasn't so full after all was it? There was still some room for the gravel. Okay...but it's full now, right?

Hmmm....get a handful of sand...see if you can dribble the sand into the jar. Wow! ALL the sand went into the jar, too. But you thought it was full.
Well at least it's full now...isn't it?

Okay...now get a glass of water. Pour the water into the jar. Hmmm..it all went in too didn't it. I guess the jar wasn't really full the first time, huh?

What this means is that no matter HOW much you have to do, you can always add a little more to it if you try.

AND if you do the little things first, then the big things take care of themselves!
